Artist-instructor David Bunting guides
students at all skill levels, beginner through advanced, on personal journeys
of artistic self-discovery. If you’ve dreamed of making art a larger
part of your life, Mr. Bunting’s inspiring lessons will help you
achieve your goals.
Art is for everyone! David Bunting believes that everyone
can enjoy or create art. David’s classes offer a full range of artistic
instruction for teens and adults of all skill levels, beginner through
advanced.
Subject areas include drawing, basic composition, color theory,
portrait drawing and painting, still life and landscapes. Classes focusing
on media include workshops in charcoal, pastels, oils, acrylics, and watercolor.
Your personal journey begins at your present skill level
and advances toward realistic goals defined by you and Mr. Bunting. David
is known for his ability to take all students––beginners and
experienced artists alike––to new levels of artistic expression.

into Art”
Taking your first steps into the world of art? Experienced, but desire
additional instruction? Join David for informative and satisfying activities
in drawing, perspective, color theory, and composition. Start creating
art from the very first day!
“Rejuven-Art”
Suffering from stress at work and home? Does your inner artist need an
outlet? Are you recently retired and still dreaming of taking brush in
hand? This is the course for you! Whether you are a beginner, a veteran
of art instruction, or an experienced artist, David can help you grow!
Working with a group of students, David can assess where you are, find
out where you want to go, and help you learn technique, composition, and
color theory.
Individual
and Small-Group Classes:
If you prefer, David will be pleased to accommodate your needs. Prices
vary depending on topic, class size, and class length.
Private
Instruction in the Newtown Studio:
Individual students: $25 per hour
Two students: $20 per hour per student
Three students: $15 per hour per student
In-Studio
Classes for Home-Schooled High School Students:
The Home-School curriculum is based upon the four-year fine arts program
of a typical schedule Maryland high school. David’s students complete
“studio years” matched to the four school years, grades 9
through 12. Each “studio year” consists of two 90-minute classes
per week at David’s Newtown studio in Salisbury. The “studio
year” arrangement enables students to meet graduation requirements
